do you think frank lampard and steven gerrard are capable of leading england midfield attack?????????

In a word... NO. They're too similar. It has to be one or the other and as far as I am concerned Gerrard is a far superior player than Lampard. Yes Lamparad scores goals week after week but if Gerrard had Essien and Makelele behind him he'd scord just as many. Gerrard is a better lead, passer and over a better player. England need to play 4-4-2 with Gerrard and Hargreaves in the centre

They're both intelligent midfielders capable of defending or attacking. I can't see what the problem is, but there obviously is one. 2 players of their calabre should be able to communicate but they clearly can not work together, so the best option would be Hargreaves or Carrick + Lampard or Gerrard. I think another problem at the moment is the strike force, there are plenty of quality central midfielders and defenders, but: Crouch? Lol Rooney? Amazing player but not an out and out striker Owen? Will he ever be fit again? Defoe? Too inconsistent Bent? Will he ever be given a chance?

No i don't think so because lampard is not a very good player when comparing with becks or someone like that.But gerrard is an asset for any team.with his cutting edged passes and terrific shots he himself can change the game.

I do think that lampard should not tag with steven gerrard in the central midfield . Prehaps they should find someone with could control and hold the midfield , someone with some physical attributes to pair up with either of them ...

My choice is Steven Gerrard over Frank Lampard, Gerrard shows a lot of passion and commitment when he play for Liverpool. His tackle is full of commitment just like Bryan Robson. He has the motivition factor to lead the charge and get the team behind him. A good leader...

i don't think lampard could do that, he is not a player that can lead other players, not like steven gerrard, gerrard skill and his personality is such an inspiration for his team-mate. just like in LIVERPOOL he always can make every body calm even when the team is in a very difficult conditions. steven gerrard is great.
