By the hour? Do you rely on them for the care of your kids or a daycare? Which one do you prefer?

Lots of people do daycare. I never have. I waited to be set to have my kids and that enabled me to stay home with them til about 3 years ago when a housefire set me out to work. They are old enough with me working part time to leave and get their school work done since we homeschool. Daughter is babysitting age. Having a babysitter can bring its own problems if she doesn't show up a day and you need to go to work. Daycare could be the back up. Daycare has lots of kids and so therefore lots of potential germs. This is a decision that you will have to decide on.

I pay them by the hour because sometimes I never know how long I will need them for. I have tried many daycares too and I wasn't very pleased with their service. I would rather pay someone that I know to watch my child so I know my child is taken care of.

I babysit these two little boys all the time. Their parents pay me about 12 dollars an hour. They have me babysit them at their house. It's a good way to earn money that's for sure.
