What is the star on top of our name for?

the stars beside our names are our popularity standing which is made by our friends who rated us,if you rating go up then you have a good standing in mylot, you have a lot of friends that care, unlike some who just us to connect on you but never care to reply on your discussion,

well it tells us our reputation, tht how much we performing in mylot.. as we also gt alerts for same before, their it was all expressed tht for wht this stars work?? bt only tht one will gt star who has completed 100 discussions...after tht all will be reputated bt wth different stars like 5,7,9 or 10....n i think 10 is highest star here.... so all the best buddy..

i think it is the way the users rated you or sometin like that

that is the rate percentage of your performance on mylot. if peoples like you than they will mark you with "+" and your star will change towards rise. But if is in the other way round then you will find that your star rating will fall. But for me this is not reliable to me. Some peoples will mark you with "+" is they like you and not to your response and will gives you "-" if they did not like what you have wrote and not the quality or the content of the response. I have faced such situation where my star rating goes down after i made a response based on what is really happened. After all, your earning is not from the rating you get, but the quality post you made.
