What PBS Show Do you refuse to let your Little One watch??

Every parent has one preschool show they just can't stand for one reason or another. In our house my boyfriend and I will refuse to let our son watch Barney and Mr. Rogers, because they are kinda dumn and drive us crazy.

I dont have little ones anymore my daughter is a teenager, she did like baby bop and barney when she was small...It drove me crazy but I gave in a she watched.

I don't mind barney as much as I hate mr. rogers, its just that my cousin when he was younger had a tape of barney 8 hours long and it drove me nuts, it drives my boyfriend nuts more... My son does watch barney when his daddy's not home but I never let him watch mr rogers

PBS usually has good educational shows on it. Even though I find them annoying, my kids love Barney and Tele Tubbies. Id much rather them watch PBS shows than the crap thats on the cartoon network.

i agree. Most of PBS weirds me out. My daughter does like Elmo though.

oh i totally get the creeps from mr. rogers. i hate that guy. other than that PBS i feel is rather safe compared with other channels.

Mr. Rogers was an ordained minister and I believe he also appeared on the tv miniseries, "Christy".

I let my children watch whatever came on. They only had a limited amount of tv time then and now so they usually just chose what was on at the time. I never got annoyed with any of the shows because my children didn't/don't watch tv enough for any one show to drive me batty.

Barney. My brother used to call Barney a purple pedophile. While it's a strange image, I doubt the guy was a pedophile, but I found the whole thing very annoying and disturbing.

I like all the PBS shows. They are meant to relate to the kids so I can see why they would make us adults crazy. I personally know someone who knows (or knew) Mr. Rogers (may he rest in peace) so I'll leave that topic alone.

we don't get PBS but we have Cbeebies and theres one show called the Fimbles that I detest

The Wiggles and Teletubbies...I will NOT let my children watch those. I feel there is nothing for them to really learn from.

I don't really like any of the little kid shows on PBS but my daughter is always asking for Thomas and Barney so I let her watch them. There is the new cable channel called "Sprout" which is PBS kid shows 24 hours and she loves that. I let her watch it when she wants to and deal with it. It teaches her things and makes her happy so I just bear with it lol.
