So we've been told to avoid Chinese food because of MSG, but did you know that things you probably have in your pantry right now containg MSG? Like Campbells soup. If you read the ingredients the MSG is listed as Monosodium Glutamate. Kinda scary. Did you also know that MSG can lead to birth defects & adhd? Pretty scary stuff.

Many chineese restaurants no longer use MSG. There is nothing in my cabinet with MSG in it. We make our own mixes and foods as to avoid
MSG. I have been posting alot of my mixes on mylot. We have not used MSG for about 10 years now. You are so right most commercial soups have MSG in them as does hamburger helper and most mixes. MSG is very bad but we can avoid them by just making our own mixes you can even make homemade hamburger helper. It is really good too. Applebees uses MSG in everything tthey make in their restaurant except the salad with oil and vinegar dressing. I know because that is all I can eat ther. If I eat MSG I will be in ER in less than an hour. MSG bad stuff

if you notice or reserache that MSG (monosodium glutamate) not only found in cinese food it also used in any packaged food, like cake mixes and any other shelf product...reason behing using this ingredient is it enhance the flavour of the product and people becoem addict of that taste and then they bound to buy it...
ofcourse in packaged products there other harmful things present too..like food chemicals and preservatives used to increase shelf life.
