Older Games = Lousy Game?

I do not know whether people will be interested on this topic because it seems like i belong to the younger age group here. (15 years old)
Most of my friends laughed at me when i told them that i was playing Dark Ages which was created 10years or more ago, with updates throughout the years (www.darkages.com).
They told me it was outdated and wanted me to stop playing it. But i felt it was fun.
Good games can withstand the test of time, and there are only like two to three hundred players on it now.. i need people to tell me whether i should quit playing it
and play the more recent games which i got bored with after playing for at most 2 weeks.

Keep on playing what you enjoy. It doesn't matter if most of your friends don't like it, if you enjoy playing it then by all means keep going. New games are graphically superior of course, but better graphics does not guarantee better gameplay. There are a ton of old games that aren't graphically impressive but are addicting because of the storyline and gameplay. Heck, I still play some games made during the 80's when I want something different.

I believe that good games have good gameplay but i also consider the storyline before i play one game. Older games are not lousier games, in fact, some of them are really nice, even though they are 2d and doesn't have much stunning visuals. I believe this is due to the fact that maybe they have a unique kind of gameplay and storyline

I like to play games in the past like atari, nintendo, PS1, PS2 and waiting to buy PS3. Oh yes, PC games too! I just feel that different people like different games and there's no right or wrong. Go with your guts feelings.
By the way, just read an article that people actually made money play WoW by selling their virtual stuff or helping others ot increase their levels.
From level 0 to 70, you can make about $500. But then again, it depends on your interest.

I thing games this days don't have that special touch that old games have. I have an xbox and I use it to play games like arkanoid, super mario world and others old fantastic games that have mark a difference.
Today games are all about grafics... Fill software houses think about gameplay or history... they are all concerd if it you be 1040p or 1040i and things like that.
So please continue playing the games that you like even if they are old.
