Why do people only turn to god when they need his help?

I admit that I am guilty of talking to God mainly when I am down, and asking Him for help. When I am happy I usually forget which is a terrible thing. I wish I could praise Him more for all the things that go right. I am working on it though.

I actually never go to Church, I have my own believes and I do not believe that I need the church to help me in that sense. I know that God is with me no matter what and he knows that I know and that I am grateful for it.

I am the other way around I praise Him all the time but I never go to church. I dont care for organized reigion.

I am guilty of the same thing. I guess the troubles we encounter in life is God's way of reminding us that He's the only One we need to help us in overcoming any obstacles we may be facing. But I don't think God punishes those people who only goes to church when they are troubled. Actually, I don't go to church at all but that's a different story. Anyway, I believe in a forgiving and loving God. He doesn't punish people. We cause our own problems/troubles. It's funny because we always pray to God whenever we need anything, but once we get what we asked for, we forget to thank God for it. We should always be grateful, even for the bad things that come in our life. All of us should practice living in constant gratitude to God.

You may always wonder why we should face many kind of troubles in our life, giggles. God purposely sent this problems to us because it is during this darkest moments that we give our most authenticated and heartfelt prayers. We prayed with our whole heart and soul. Sadly, once the troubles were lifted out of our life, we forsake God again. Being a religious person myself, I always pray whether I'm up or down. I try to be as sincere as possible and tell God what I'm feeling.

Becouse they know that God is the only who can help him in the situation

ia m not inda person who turned to HIM in need... i pray daily 5 times a day. not even seek HIS help but also thanked him for HIS blessings every single minute...

Because when you get all the ways closed no answer you get for you solution then only a hidden , unknown power , you belive on it, and they also helping you, people must give thanks to unknown power who is known as GOD,

Because that is the time that God comes knocking at their doors so that they would remember him. The God that I know is not a punishing God but a loving God and I'm sure he won't punish those who only remember him in times of need.
