6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
6 slices swiss cheese
1 10 3/4 can cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup milk
2 cups herb stuffing mix
1/2 cup butter, melted
Spray the Crock pot with cooking spray. Arrange the chicken in the stoneware. Top with the cheese, layering the cheese if necessary. Combine the soup and milk and stir well. Spoon the soup and milk mixture over the cheese and sprnkle with the stuffing mix that was mixed in the butter. Cover and cook low for 8 to 10 hours or high for 4 to 6 hours.
This is one of my favorites....easy and very tasty.

How about a pressure cooker? Or what else can I use besides a crock pot?

No, do not use the pressure cooker. Use a pot low on the oven.

Margie,
This sounds soooo yummy....not enough time to try it tonight, but I may have to make it tomorrow.
You wouldn't happen to have a good recipe for tortilla soup would you? I have a mediocre one and while it's good, it's not as good as others I've had...and for the crockpot too...

I have a 3 bean tortilla soup. I'll post it in a few minutes. I haven't tried it though, so you will have to let me know if you like it. You will like the chicken dish, make sure to use herb stuffing.

I have always made this same recipe in a baking dish in the oven. We love it. Bake it for an hour and a half at 350. This is a family favorite.

You're saving my butt!!!! lol. I actually have an 18 quart crockpot. I could easily double this receipe and the chili and I have dinner for all.
My crock pot can do a 20lb turkey. It comes in handy to have such a big one when you have to feed alot of people.
Shoot, I can get another one now. :)

This sounds great. Although I will have to put the stuffing mix on half of the chicken. Hubby doesn't care for stuffing. Pork would be a great substitute for the chicken too.

Ohhh, Hmm, if only I could eat this. I used to cook a similar version, but, it's a bit too high in fat for me. Plus, my husband doesn't like mushrooms, and he is allergic to the herbs.
Lovely recipe though.

Ohhh, this one sounds wonderful Margie! My husband LOVES swiss cheese. I have copied and pasted this one into my recipe file. I will try it out soon..perhaps for his birthday which will be here in a few weeks! I like the sound of the crunchy top too! (I am imagining that the stuffing will get crunchy..as there isn't that much liquid in the dish)

That sounds absolutely delicious, and the perfect "company" meal for a busy mom. Thank you so much, and I'll try it next week. (After I buy stuffing mix)

I have tried a couple of recipies that use stuffing in it and it adds a lot of flavor. I will give it a try tonight thank you.
