I think open relationships are overrated and usually only tolerated because someone is afraid of losing someone else. If you are with someone and you want to be with someone else...set the other person free. There are too many diseases and other negative possibilities to have "open relationships". If you don't want to be with someone let them know then be a man or woman about it and let them go.

The freedom of not being tied down when I was younger is why I did it.I believe that we loved eachother because after a while of the open relationship we started a serious relationship where we were loyal. Its kinda like a more then friendship thing to get to know eachother at first and then be serious later.

An open relationship is almost 100% doom for a relationship. There are way to many feeling that get in the way!

Sorry,I will not do that. You can call me names if I am different from people I will not follow a trend or things that other people do.Call me conservative if you want or strange weird nickname but not that as it seems to break my heart if someone I love do so.I cannot go together with that person at all as I treasure my life very much for my family(mum, dad, brothers,my kids(if I have ).As you know what I mean after I wrote this.It can lead to a lot of problems later example emotionally, physically then mentally.

Just so you know an open marriage IS NOT the same as swinging...I am in an open marriage and it works for us though currently I'm no longer with my bf and my husband and I are currently only with each other but if one of us wanted to date someone else as well as be in our marriage we talk about it and take it from there..

I would not go for it. Open and relationship are two words that don't go together for me. It's the exclusivity that contributes to a good loving relationship.

you have yet to define what the boundaries are of the so called "open relationship". Is it more of a fling or a one night stand?

Not for me. I couldn't handle that. I need dedication. No way I'm settling for an open relationship. I think it's just a recipe for trouble and heartache.
