Kids home alone

What age does a child have to be to stay home alone/

For me it will depend on the kid, My youngest sister is 12, But I don't think she is responsible enough to be home alone. Unless it is really necessary and urgent, and she's only gonna go for one hour or so I don't think my mum will leave her alone.

In Arizona it is 12, you could call your local police station to find out the age in your state. But regardless of the law, you should only do it if your child is responcible enough.

The law in my hometown is 13 but it all depends on the child. They say 13 or the maturity level of the child. Not sure what they judge by. I started with my son a little after 13 a couple of minutes here and there till I knew it was going to be ok and felt better about it.
