are your kids scared of santa, clowns or other characters in costumes. we just went to disney a couple of months ago and i saw a lot of kids freaking out that they didn't want to go near the characters. my daughter used to be scared of santa but i think it's cause i was trying to sit her on a stranger.

My kids are definalty scared of pepople dressed up. When my son was 2 and we took him to Disney World he was fine having his picture taken with them as long as me or my husband were holding him. We did manage to get him to pose with Scooby Doo at Universal Studios though. The only one he took by himself.

That is so cute, we want to plan another trip so we can take our soon to be 2 year old daughter. She is going to loooooove it. I get just as excited as the kids.

My daughter was not afraid of characters in costume. She liked most that she was around. Clowns did not bother her either. My kid was pretty easy to get a long with. You could probably talk to her is you were in costume because she did not like strangers at all. If someone would talk to her when she was three to five she would make me pick her up and tell them to go away.

I know a lot of kids that feel this way and I think it's because it's not explained to them.....there are people in those costumes.....they need to know that

My son just turned 5 and he JUST now was able to sit in Santa's lap although he was still leary about it. My daughter is almost 3 and REFUSES to go near anything in a costume. Doesn't matter what it is. My son (5) STILL won't go down the Halloween aisle at the store with all the masks and stuff. LOL He's not scared anymore, but very leary and nervous. I guess I would be too if I was so little and a big 6 ft bunny or mouse or something came up to me. LOL
