how many activities or team sports are your children in. my daughter is 3 years old and is currently in dance class. she loves it. soccer sing ups are tomorrow and i'm not sure if i should put her in. i don't want her to have to be on the go all the time. although it would only be 2 days a week.

My son hated soccer last season so he's going to play t-ball this season. Sign ups are Tuesday. I had him in gymnastics for the summer session last summer and he LOVED it! He wants to do it again, but it's so expensive to start them in everything. I think I will stick with 1 thing each. My daughter is about to turn 3 and I want to put her in dance for sure. I took dance when I was young and LOVED it. I haven't put her in yet...will wait until we get to Florida and find a place for her there.

i know, things cost so much. dance class for her is costing me about $400 canadian. so i have to see if her dad will help pay for soccer, but he usually says he has no money. so we'll have to wait and see. it's kind of last minute to ask so we might wait until next year.

My daughter did not get into sports. She likes to write so she is on the school paper as well as a literary magazine. My daughter did the tap and balate lessons till she was ten and then lost interest.

I have three children and I only let them one do one sport a peice at the same time. It gets to be too much on them and me. Right now they are in gymnastics, but soon soccer and baseball will be starting up. With only having one child I would let them be in a couple different sports at the same time. Since it is only two days a week.

My kids are all involved in just about everyting they can be involved in, except the 3 year old twins. I don't know that at 3 I would have a child involved in too many activities. I guess it would depend on what you think your child can handle. Maybe try the two activities, and if it seems too much for her then drop back to just one. She has plenty of time to be involved in lots of stuff. I usually wait until they are at least school age, 2nd grade is where we have really started doing more activities. My kids play basketball and baseball, run track, my two older girls have been cheerleaders, my son has played football, and all of them raise pigs and goats to show in livestock shows, and my 8 year old daughter rides her horse all summer in playdays running barrels, pole bending etc. We stay really really busy all the time and I am constantly running here or there. We only have one rule, they can do pretty much what they want as long as their school work doesn't suffer, bad grades equals no play.
