best president

I'm hurt when somebody say's something bad about Ferdinand Marcos. I believe he's the best president we have ever had in the Philippines.When he was our president Philippines was prosperous during those times.

Stop getting hurt... and face reality. Maybe those times were properous, for YOU. But how about the 70... or 80 million people,or so? If you really want to know who the best president of the Philippines there ever was, it is Ramon Magsaysay... bar none. He opened Malacanang to the people(saying that it belonged to them); unlike your idol who CLOSED it.

That is cool. But do not vote for this Vic Magsaysay as senator; he's a POOR COPY of the original Magsaysay, he's just riding on the Magsaysay name (and he thinks he's gonna win, check your newspaper). He says he has ruled (served)Zambales for 20 plus years? Ohmigosh, If i ruled something for that long a time, I should have accomplished something by then,eh? Now he wants to be senator... ask the Viva Hotbabes.

You know, I've heard that several times recently. Because our previous presidents also failed to address the nations' hardcore problem and even made it worse, Marcos becomes the best president so far. Aquino, Ramos, and GMA clamored for the position but proved themselves a total failure. That makes Marcos still the best.

Thank's I'm happy for your opinion. Everybody really make there best to be good but they are sorrounded with bad eggs that make them bad. Hope Philippines will have or pick the good public servants. I don't live there anymore but still I'm concern my family still there.

Jemina, you are young, aren't you? Marcos messsed it up so much those presidents you mentioned did have a hard time fixing it. Until now they could not fix it. You know why? It's because UNTIL now we have people thinking like you. It is always about "self." Think about it, kid.

I also believed that Marcos was one of the best president that philippines has ever had. I think he's only mistake was letting his wife and subordinates take control over him, with his ambitious wife manipulating him and his power-hungry subordinates giving him false informations.
Back then, our countries wealth and economy was almost as the same level within those now superpowers. But I guess Martial Law did made a large setback on our countries future, the mentality of people (mostly politicians now) are so corrupt and selfish that they are now only thinking of their own interests intead of the peoples'..

That's right You can say that.. it's his ambitious wife and his power and money hungry friends and political allys thatput him down.So sad to admit that half working for him have to work for there own interest so corruptand selfish..Many wants to enter politics now without even finshing secondaray education,how can the make laws, they can't even make correct sentences....

I also think Ferdinand Marcos is a good president... peoples of the republic of the philippines in that time is so very negative thinker...... why did just philippines became a republic why not Monarchy.. i just love monarch because in that way the Leader(Queen/King/Royalty) would be contented by the people who is admiring them so much... it means they receive more gift... so that they could not think of country's corrupting funds

Maybe, when you go abroad, the Philippines would be a better place. You really, actually, believe what you just said? MOnarchs are just about a bunch of heirs of brutal people... how do you think they got to be monarchs anyway... think about it, really think about it. Monarchs? jeeez. And you wonder why we are going nowhere? Try a mirror.
