Why is it that theres a Bible in almost every house but no ones reading it?

Welcome to mylot and wishing you a great happiness and earning in the mylot. I don't agree with your declarations or the assumptions at all. When people have kept the "Holy Bible" in their home that means they are on the way to happiness today or tomorrow, whenever the time would permit them , they definitly would read this Bible and would find the direction and happiness in the life. As they have brought the Holy thing in the house that means they are on the mission and it's not compulsary to attend or read it in a hurry to finish it like a novel. Every single word and line in the Bible freshens and encourages you, it's not any fiction or a mistry book or any hot movie should be seen or digested as soon as it's released. Kindly avoid blaming and making assumption about the religious people before you go a saint or something in this field. I am not a christen but a hindu by religion and I have read so many religious holy books, hence because I dare can predict that you haven't yet understood the Bible in a real sense, otherwise you would not have stated this statement over here. this problem stems from the people themselves. many people have bibles at home but they seldom read their bibles. they just remember to flip through their bibles during sundays or when they have problems. These people are the kind of people who project the image that they are religious persons, when in truth and in fact they don't bother to read their bibles. these kinds of people are only pretending, fooling others and themselves. the bible is not boring. i should say this because i read the bible. there are bible nowadays that are colored, and contains pictures or images that make it visually appealing to the eyes. but i still believe though that the desire to read the bible must come from within, because of your faith, because you want to please GOD and not because you want to please others by thinking that you are a good religious man.

ALmost everyone says yes Im a christian but how many truly lve the way they should(we all make mistakes and sin daily Im just saying)Some have bibles because their parents and their grand parents did and its liek a tradition or part of decor
