Guests with ridiculous complaints. We have been sold out for the past 10 days and it has been the pits for this.
I come in tonight and my boss asks me why I didn't shut down the video arcade and let it be noisy last night. I asked him what he was talking about. They had to comp a room because a guest on the first floor complained about the noise. Well, we unplugged the video games at 11 so there was no noise from there. I had a gues FALL ASLEEP in one of the chairs in our common area, so I don't think it could have been as noisy as these people are claiming. Just trying to get a free room...

Some people are always out for a free ride!
Maybe you need to post a "check-off" list and initial it each night just to show you've turned off the game room - that might help the checkout people if they get those types of complaints again.
Of course they noise they heard could have come from an adjoining room? But why didn't they call the desk to complain in the middle of the night anyway?

Hm I can relate to you. Just ignore what they say especially since it isn't a problem. I mean, just unplug the games but don't let it bother you. Some customers are easy to deal with while others can be, shall I say, more difficult. Perhaps the customer heard the noise through her room. Just let it drip off you like water on your face and I think you will be good. Have a nice day.
