I really want to see Uluru in Australia. It is considered sacred ground to various tribes and I just get a really cool feeling when I look at it.
What about you guys and gals were do you want to go?

I walked around Uluru. Much easier than climbing it which is dangerous, especially when you have height issues! There is certainly something special in the core of that rock, not seen by the non-observer.
The Australian desert is awesome, the colors breathtaking. I've travelled from Alice Springs through the Tanamai Desert, via Wolf Creek crater - it's nothing but a very big hole in the ground. Through the Kimberley Ranges to Broome, and across the top of the Northern Territory to Darwin. It is seriously worth the trip.
My next experience has to be the Northern Lights, so Scandinavia is my next destination.

So is Uluru the Aborigineal (sp?) word for Ayers Rock? I've always wanted to go there too. I think that has to be an incredible place to see. Even though the idea of backpacking through Australia scares me a little thanks to a horror movie called Wolf Creek, I'm still tempted to go there someday.

Yes it is.
Funny that a horror writer would be scared of something because of a horror movie she watched, lol.
Look at my stone buddha avatar pic, he will give you inner peace so you can go see Uluru.
I prefer to call it Uluru cause I like how the word roles off my tongue. Uluru. nice.

I've been to Uluru... and I have to say if you get the chance to get there, you should! It is an incredible place to visit and looking at pictures you really don't get the full idea of how big it actually is. There has been cases of tourists getting lost on top of the rock after climbing it.
Not only is Uluru spectacular, but the surrounding areas are incredible. There are so many amazing landscapes to be seen. I wish you luck in getting yourself there, you will absolutely love it!!!

yeah, i have been there! it's truly an awesome place. it just has this incredible presence that other people i have spoken to have been there have also felt. it is certainly worth visiting, and viewing at sunrise and sunset is so spectacular as the rock literally changes colour in front of your eyes! but hey, it's in my 'backyard' so it's not too hard for me to go visit :)
i'd like to go to Europe, specifically to Prague, Paris, London, Rome, Berlin, Amsterdam and Athens. i'd also love to go to the Valley of the Kings in Egypt, and New York - the city that never sleeps :)
