Oh, I have definitely had this happen before. Let me share my tale with you.
Years ago we were stationed in Alaska. Yeah me a born and raised New Yorker, suddenly found herself living in the middle of no where is a Multi-family townhouse complex. I mean we were literally in the middle of no where and if was very isolating and cold LOL.
So, we just go new neighbors that moved in right next to us and they were another military family--husband, wife, and 3 teenage kids. I don't know but when I met the husband I just got uneasy feeling about him, I was about 6 months pregnant with my middle child at the time so I chalked it up to hormones.
About 4 weeks later, I had a dream and it was so vivid (I dream in color), and it was about the new family. In the dream it was night, the husband came home and brutally slaughtered his wife and children. I woke up screaming and pale and I refused to stay in the house that day. So, my hubby took me and my son over to my friends house for the day.
Now here's the weird part. When my husband picked me up after work and brought us home there were cop cars and an ambulance outside the complex and they were escorting the husband out of the house in handcuffs and wheeling the wife out on a stretcher. Seems he beat his wife severely that day. He got kicked out of the military after that, and the family left.
I hate dreams that are so realistic and make you uneasy--it's even worse when they sort of warn you to real life events. LOL.

It actually happened to me just last week; i was dreaming that it was night time, and i was about to open our back door to let my two beagle dogs go outside in the backyard. When i opened the door, there was a wolf, an angry wolf, showing teeth, growling and all, and he was slowly coming inside my house, and i was trying to protect my dogs. I just screamed, there's a dog!! It's a wolf!!! My hubby woke up and was all confused, and then saw that i was sleeping! LOL it was pretty scary though.

The worst that has happened to me was to wake up crying hysterically. It was such a vivid dream of one of my boys dying that I was paranoid for weeks after.
If I would have to relive that pain in real life I don't think that I would have the strength to cope.

I used to have horrible nightmares as a child and would scream every night . I never did remember what my dreams were about but was told that I was always screaming and crying in my sleep . I don't believe I do this anymore as an adult though .

I haven't.
I've woken up crying or sweating and saying random things. I think one of those times wasn't long before my son was expected. I can understand why, although I'm not 100 percent sure if it is fully to do with that.
Kudos

yes for years I have had nightmares , I wake up screaming and it takes my hubby quite some time to calm me down and make me believe it was just a dream , I get up now and put the light on so I can calm down , When we moved to this house 22 years ago I explained this to my neighbour in case she thought there was a murder going on next door lol , It is worse if I am really tired or worried about something xx

I used to wake up screaming from nightmares pretty regularly as a child..As i got older, my dreams became more and more surreal, eventually made no sense whatsoever..
Now, i cannot remember most of my dreams, and when i do, i can only recall the tail end as i am waking up..then, within a few minutes, even that is almost erased from my consciousness. There was one where i woke up choking and crying about 2 years ago, and i awoke my ex-husband while i was sobbing uncontrollably. That one is still very vivid in my mind, but it is so horrific -i can't describe it here. My dreams are either bad or make no sense, usually a combination of both~

Only once have I woken from a dream screaming...but then, I was also yelling, I rebuke you!
I was being chased by demons. That is the only way I can explain it.
I had friends in my dream that I did not know in real life...that were caught by these demons and were torn to pieces. And in turn, I was being chased and they almost had me after a very long chase. And this was the only time I woke screaming.
Weird...huh? LOL

I keep having dreams that my daughter is dying or my husband is killed in an accident and I wake up crying. Never screaming just crying and it takes me ages to calm myself to get back to sleep.

I've never actually woke up screaming exactly. I did have a dream that my best friend and I were on a hike and she fell off a cliff. I shot up and yelled her name. My sister just happened to be sleeping in bed with me (we were much younger) and it scared her something awful and I think she actually was the one that woke up screaming!

I am usually dreaming abot being attacked by a dog if i wake up screaming.
I did wake up screaming a few months ago. I was having stomach cramps so bad I woke up screaming LOUD!! I had eaten some of the peanut butter and that is when I went to the Dr. Of course at that time the news had not been released and we knew nothing of the cause of the pain, so I had countless test I had to have to figure it out.

As a young kid I seem to have always had dreams about mazes. Sounds harmless doesn't it?! Well the dreams always involved me not being able to get out of the mazes. I was always running away from something in the maze. But I could never find a way out. Throughout the whole dream all I would do is be running around the maze.. Just looking for an exit.
It was scary for me because I began to have these dreams all of the time. Each night I would fear to go to bed because I was scared that this dream would happen all over again. There was a few times where when I had thought I was close to finding an exit.. Where I'd look back & I could see someone chasing me in the maze, but instead of seeing a face.. All I could see was the persons eyes. All there eyes did was glow & they would begin to run even faster towards me.. But they'd never be able to catch up for some reason.
It got to the point where I'd turn my head back & that person would be standing a few feet ahead of me. I actually woke up a few times screaming as a young kid in my bed.. And even when I was all grown up.. And I'd begin to scream like crazy.. I still seemed to have these dreams.. I haven't had them in quite a while but they do tend to come back from time to time for some reason..
I know that.. When I was younger my mom would come running in the room & she said that I was panicking because she said I was acting like I was still in the dream. That I couldn't distinguish what was reality. There was also one instance where I had woken up screaming & had actually rolled out of bed, hit my head on the dresser & then just laid there on the floor. I couldn't even remember anything afterwards.. But the person whom I was with at the time said I was flipping out & then ended up throwing myself over the edge of the bed..
Now that I hear what had happened I don't remember any of that.. But I remember the stories people would tell me of this happening. I remember waking up though with a big gash on my head & not realizing what had happened afterwards. I still get shivers up my spine quite honestly about thinking of this experience.. And how this dream or more like night mare seemed to always be brought back up all over again.
I honestly have grown some-what a little tiny bit scared of mazes now since I've had those dreams all so often. I know that I'd like to face this fear by actually going in one.. One day. But I think I'd have an anxiety attack because I'd feel like my dream was actually happening instead of me just thinking it is all a dream.
In conclusion.. I know that this is the one dream I remember having.. Where I would wake up screaming afterwards because of it.. I can't remember a lot of times where this would happen.. Except for this one instance that I had.. I hope I never have this dream or 'nightmare' ever again as I think if I began screaming.. My other half would wake up flipping out because he wouldn't know what was wrong.. haha. Plus I don't really want to have a dream like this all over again.. But they tend to pop up I have found.. I guess I feel some-what if I conquer this childhood fear in away that was moved on to my adulthood.. That maybe I'd never have the dreams all over again if I just faced them on my own! . .
Thanks for allowing me to share this with you! xx

I used to have very bad dreams and I hate that feeling when being woke up. I is so scary to wake up like that. I'm on meds now to help with the dreams. I hardly dream at all now. And if I do I don't remember and I don't wake up from them.
