i think its really discouraging to receive not even a single response for your post, i had recently asked question on MIR scanning, and even with huge population of mylotians, i didnt even received a single answer? why mylotians are more interested in post containing relationships, love and all more attracting stuff. i think educational questions are least answered, why is it so

Don't get too discouraged. Sometimes it takes a while before you get an answer. Your topic is an interesting one. I know it may seem tempting to post the same thing that is on here already when people don't answer but I noticed that people that do this usually get only one or two responses. I have to admit that I post less discussions for that same reason and have to make myself put one out there so I know how ya feel..but we have to keep trying. Maybe build up your friends list and answer theirs too. I noticed that some of mine will return the favor.

I think it has to do with the quantity of the discussions that some discussions are overlooked. I noticed that new discussions appear to start every second. Also sometimes the discussions are too intelligent and we are unable to respond to them.

I am not overly concerned when people do not respond to my discussions as it may have no interest to them or they may have no knowledge of the topic that I am starting up. It is okay as I certainly understand since there are many topics out there that I am not familiar with either. It does seem though that certain topics do get more interest than others. I guess love and relationships are more interesting since many people are in relationships and in love and can relate to those type of discussions.

It happens. I just let it go and either think of another topic or just respond to other discussions.
To be honest, I couldn't respond about MIR scanning (or should be MRI - magnetic resonance imaging) because I honestly don't know what it is! Relationships, love, etc are universal topics. Some topics are just too specialized, I guess.

I think that educational questions are very important but sometimes people don't know how to respond. I do remember reading your discussion and as I do my best to come up with a quality response to discussions I can only believe I just didn't know what to say. I'll go take a look and see maybe I was just tired at the time and was responding to "simple things"

I too have been in the same boat since I joined MyLot, but you know, it doesn't bother me so much anymore.
I got discouraged not to receive any responses, but slowly they started to trickle in. It might take a few days before someone sees the post and feel they can contribute to it.
Now though, I'm at the point where I don't care how many or few responses I get to discussions. I'll respond to any responses I get, and if I don't get any - oh well. Pick myself up and keep going.
I don't mind no responses any more. The main thing is that I'm having fun and earning a little bit of extra money, which will definitely come in handy.

yeah, its not that i get discouraged, but i was more curious to find its answer, since this particular ques was asked in the written test where i had applied for the post.

actually if I have a post that no one comments on I tend not to worry too much. I figure that it may be a question or a situation that people have a hard time relating to. And I agree that educational questions are the least answered. I believe it is because there are so many different points of view on the area of education. There are people that may feel education is not necessary, or people that feel it is the most importnat thing in thw world. And others may believe that the topic of education is as sensitive a subject to discuss just like religion or government. Hey that is what keeps the world so interesting, if we all felt the same and had the same views what would we discuss? This is a good discussion.

How do I respond? I tear my hair out, scream at the computer screen and swear I'll never turn Mylot on again. On the whole, I think i deal with it rather well. LOL
Seriously, if you want responses, try a topic that has something to do with Mylot. It's the one thing we all have in common and most will throw in a reply.

I think , question pertaining to education garners less interest , may be because we have to do a little bit of research when we have to answer posts containing heavy topics..since love ,relationships are topics we encounter everyday..we tend to be more at ease with these subject...
HAPPY POSTINGS!!!!

fcourse itz not unnatural as u think so..most people use to be on net just fr entertainment..rather than educational things..so its quite natural to hav more attention over ther than ny educational things...n that is the reason y mulotians are so much intrested in those love and all more attracting stuffs..dont u agree me..?

you should be happy now that you are getting responses.i think you have come to know the trick by now!!dont go to too much detailed and expert discussions since mylottians are here to enjoy and not storm up their brain and time for responding to discussions which needs research.all the best.

It is very discouraging when this happens. I know that I have had a couple of discussions that never even got one response. I did not want to post anymore discussions at first because what I did post was important to me. Now I seem to just pick things that I think people will respond to. It is hard to believe that with as large as our community is that any discussion would go without a single response.

I think it's because MYLOT has expanded by a lot these past few days that discussions get pushed down sometimes in favor of the flavor of the day. Educational questions sometimes may be seen as threatening or requiring more "work" for the reader.
