Are you photogenic?

Working in a studio taught me something about people. Those who know how to pose, will look good on camera, those who dont, have to be told how to pose so they look good on camera. And sometimes they have to be posed. It dosent nessissarly have to be natural, but its learned. When you enjoy having your pictures taken, you begin to do things to acentuate your fetures. If you feel like you dont take good pictures, spend some time looking through a magazine, or online at pictures. Pick some that you feel look good, or that will look good when you do them. Pratice in a mirror and develop some ideas of how you want to look when you get your picture taken. As for me... well i prefer to take the pictures then be the picture hehe. But I know how to pose to put my best fetures forward in any event. A bit of a head tilt and a big smile are my tools.

Yes, it is natural god gift. One might look good outwardly, but in the photo figure might not be impressive. But many will look superb in the photoes though they are ugly. That is why I say "DO NOT JUDGE A PERSON BY LOOKING AT HIS/HER PHOTO"

I never used to think I was, but after practicing what poses I look best in, I can sometimes take a portrait photo of myself that doesn't look to bad. My avatar is one I took holding the camera, and in B&W it looks not bad... If I smile in a photo, I look like I've gained 30 pounds though.. lol.. I've also found that when other people take photos of me, the nest whens are when I don't realize they are taking a photo, but I am still interacting with them, eg throwing a snowball at them ;)...

I'd like to feel and think that I am. When taking my photo there is a certain angle better compared to other angles they shoot my faces from. I still think that i am photogenic. The camera loves me, at least for me.

I don't know if I'm photogenic and neither how people "get" it. But everyone says that likes my photos or when I don't know people and I show my photo they think that I'm beautiful and when they see me for real they get really disappointed =/ Sometimes it can be sad for me...

hmm, no i an not photogenic, i looking like stupid in every my fotos..lol

I'm not that bad looking but cameras don't do me justice either. I don't look good at photos no matter how I try or maybe I just have to accept the fact that that's the way I look to people. LOL

well people say i'm photogenic but i don't think so. photogenic does come naturally, from within.

Perhaps your friend is just trying to make an excuse for his lousy photography! :)

aww.. thats not very nice of ur friend to say that... i dont noe if im photogenic.. o wait im not lol.. it takes a while to get a good "luvo" pic of myself haha... i think ppl that are photogenic DO come naturally because u cant really practice to always look great in photos.. so i'd say YES photogenic ppl do come naturally.

I'm not very photogenic in my opinion... there are a few pictures now and then that look great but most I think I look terrible. But even then people say they're nice photos... people who would tell me the truth so maybe its a confidence thing sometimes too :D great discussion ihsanul! :D
