Several websites now report weather, construction and traffic delays along your route. Check out weather.com, which gives driving conditions by region, a vacation planner and ten day forecasts by city or ZIP code. Accuweather.com features a storm map- so it doesn't have to rain on your parade. To avoid construction and traffic delays, go to google.com and type in "Highway construction." and check out the American Automobile Association's website, aaa.com, and its links to local clubs. You'll find alerts on traffic delays and construction sites, and in some areas suggestions for alternative routes.

Thank you very much for this information as reducing highway travel time is always a good thing. I am familiar with accuweather.com as I use it often to check the current and upcoming weather but I don't use it for construction and traffic delays. I am also familiar with aaa.com as I am a member and that is one membership that everyone should have in case you r car breaks down plus gives you discounts. Definitely worth checking these sites out. Good topic. :-)
