Well she might not talk "Words" But my cat talks all the time. She merrrooowws at me, following me through the house. If im sitting down and shes talking, she will touch my face with a paw as if to get my attention. Its quite funny actually. She has quite an opinion of herself.

This is my first cat ever and I don't really know a lot about cats in general, but I think most of them have high opinions of themselves. :)

Sometimes it seems my cat is talking. Sometimes she just meows. It mostly sounds like she's saying mom or mama, that type of deal. Sometimes it sounds like she's meowing help too. It just depends on what's going on.

Freaky is the word. Do you have complex names or single syllable names?

My cats say thank you when I open the window or door for them, it sounds like ma-meow and burr-up, and they look at you so you understand.

I once heard the down stairs neighbor's cat say "Ropen! Now!" outside their door. Moments later the door was opened & let the cat in.
I also had a cat that said "Mi'a" which isn't exactly my name, but close (no, I'm not telling you my name."
My Scamp says "Ma-MOW!" that the roomie says must mean "mom" since he goes in & says it to her to try & get her to get me. Another time, recently, I was rubbing his belly & Scamp said "ROW!" that the roomie said meant "WOW!" as in "I love this!!!"
