Is history popular in your country?I heard of it is in the Unite State. But the situation in China is not optimistic.I'm a history student, but compare with other subjects, such as computer, economy, literrature etc.,history is unwelcomed.I think this tendency is unsuccessful. How about in your country?

I wish it was popular but it seems that only a handful of people actually care about my country's (Philippines) history. Nowadays, schools focus more on courses that are "in season" like nursing or caregiving because the remittances are high when these nurses work abroad - my country would be richer.
I think that being rich does not end on financial status alone. It is also important that people have a rich history and heritage that they can be proud of.
