Do you yield to your child instantly whenever he demands something? What should be the strategy? I dont yield to my son immediately. I would give him some time later a few things he asked for, only after he forgot about the demand he made so that he doesnt attach his demand and my giving. Is this not the right way? Psychologists say so.

I personally think that it is the right way. It is good if a parent teaches the child that life is not easy and not everything is so readily available. If life teaches a lesson it can be very hard.

I have seen quite number of kids becoming so adamant and becoming psychologically challenged because of the stand taken by the parents. Its always nice to make your child know the hard of life.
