who sings better? men or women?

This is a question like who comes first the egg or the chicken? In this question, men and women have equal capabilities of creating good melodies or songs, it's only how they deliver it and internalize what they are singing. There are persons who are naturally a good singer, it can be because of the internal make-ups of our vocal chords. But, all of our vocal chords can be developed if we wanted. We can develop our voice through voice lessons but of course those who have natural good voice can really produce good quality of singing.

What a tough question. I guess both. People have different ranges and styles plus what might be good to me is not to you.

It all depends on the songs and the tenor if its bass then men could be better if its soprano then definitely ladies are the best.

songs r of diff types so we cant tell tat girls only sing well..........men also sing well to some pop & rock songs...........

This type of discussion raises a good point for debate. Though there is a pitch differences in the voice of male & female, but the gender difference depends on the mood, tune & tempo as well as the ambience of that particular song that has been sung.

Men and women sing differently. I think you are comparing apples and oranges here. They have different voice qualities. There are songs that suit men, and songs that suit women. Like American Idol judges say, it all boils down to song choices.

Like the first poster said, guys and girls sing differently. We're dealing with two genders, two giant masses of individuals. Some guys will sing beauttifully, some girls will too..some guys and girls will sing crappily. It's just how it is. It's kinda like askng "who can fight better, men or women?"there's just no comparison.

I have to say I agree with the first response, it depends whats being sung and how as to whether a male or female voice suits it or not. Some songs can be sung equally as well by either men or women it really just depends on the song.

Angels....that has no gender at all, its what they do all the time! (just driving a point) Anyways, it actually depends, on how bias we are... singing is a talent... men and women has different voice ranges...there are songs that sound more beautiful when it is sung by men...and vice versa.

I have always found it difficult to compare a woman's voice with a man's voice. But if I had to choose most women's voices are better to me because of range I like a person with range that send chills though you spine. I mostly listen to women artists because I like to here whwn they hit those high notes. But it's not all about range to everyone some people like soothing and calm voices. But sometimes you come across a man with a range out of this world like I saw this man on youtube his range was so amazing his name was Von Smith I think. I think it's more of a shock factor when you hear a man sing like that.

i prefer listening to men honestly lol. But it depends, I mean there are bad osunding men and bad sounding women. And good sounding men and good sounding women. But yeah, I prefer listening to guys sing.
