Knowing your blood type and carrying it on your information card along with a list of your medications, your allergies, and emergency contacts is important. Mine is A+ (I know this because I am a regular blood donor). If you are ever in need of a blood transfusion in an emergency, the hospital will always do a type and crossmatch regardless of what is written on the card, just to be safe. If not, they will transfuse O- blood, which is safe for any blood type.

I do know my blood type. I found it out when I was pregnant. I would have found it out anyway because I give blood and also we did blood typing in my Biology class at school. My blood type is B+

Everybody should have this in their wallet also they should have what they are allergic to with it. It could save your life in an emergency. Also who to call. And if you have children it should be in their bookbags along with the school having the information
