forum spammer how to get them away

hi
i have a board where i get everyday some 10 posts with only spam in it links to some search engine to viagra and other stuff i don't want in there,do's anybody know a way to stop those basters from doing that?anybody know a mod for the phpbb board or a nice idee to stop those people,they just registrate a acount and then post and leave that acount then registrate a new one and start al over an over :s

Does your forum allow guest posts? (Meaning that they do not have to register to post). If so, disable this feature. Also block ISP if they keep sending spam. You may want to have some moderators on your foru mso that they can delete the spam if they see it. I hope that helps. Have a nice day.

Hi there. Have you tried banning the IP? Another thing you can do is to set it so that any new registration will have to be approved by you.

I don't think humans are the one doing it. It's a bot, or a software, I have experienced it too on my blog. I think you can control your post by doing a manual checking first on the comments. Before it will be post.

Is there a setting that will disable links in posts? Some forums don't allow any links, including in sigs.
