I don't use Orkut but I use Hub Pages, and it seems to operate in a similar way. I requested to join somebody's fan club on there, which they accepted, but they didn't join my fan club. I was a little put out but in the end, it doesn't really matter. You have the right to choose whose fan clubs you belong to, surely. Out of politeness, you could just thank them, without actually joining their fan clubs. Brightest Blessings.

NO it's not necessary, if someone is ur there is no rule that u should also be their's. It's all abt ur choice, u can be anyone's fan or anythg like that.

No! not at all! But it has become a business nowadays! The people having 200+ fans do not wait for others to become their fans ... they just add other people ... become their fan ... ask them to become their fans ... and if they don't ... they delete them ... If you dont wanna become ... then don't ... maximum he can delete you ... and your 1 fan will be decreased!!!

its not atall necessary.... why should we be a fan unneccessarily just for a reason of disappointment.... it was our friends choice to be our fan... but is not the same with us... is that if v have sum quality in arselves then a friend is my fan... but is it that my friend would also have sum gr8 quality in him / her....so its just not neccessary to b a fan of ne one who is your fan..

Its entirely your wish to do so. Most of them wants you to be there fan so they give you a fan. I give fan to a person only if i admire his any quality. If any1 gives me a fan i do not necessarily give him 1 and its ok for me if he wishes to remove that fan off again!

its your choice to join in their fans list or not those who like you can join in your fans list and you are not forced to join in their fans list if u dodn't like someone in your friends list you can also ignore them and you can remove him/her in fans list too

Well U become a fan of a person whom you are really like and adore as a person. U value that person and only then should you be their fan !! For eg. Just because Sam is ur fan does not mean that u also have to be Sam's fan.

no its no need. actually i just marks his fan when someone adds me. i have 400+ friends. but i have only 140 fans. i havent asked my friends that why you people are not my fans.i think when we mark fan, a regular orkuttan might recoganise it and will become our fan.
