Replacing starter & solenoid on 77 Silverado, 350 automatic. Terminals are different on old and new solenoid. The old starter has only one terminal for the smaller wires. The new starter has two. Not sure what the second terminal is for. When I disconnected the old starter there were two conductors on the + cable terminal (the heavy cable and one small wire). My guess is that the spare terminal is the 12 volt supply for the solenoid coil whereas the two 12 volt supplies (coil & motor) were common on the old starter, but I don't know for certain and I would prefer not to fry a new starter. I suspect that there is a convension for this, I just don't know what it is. HELP
