NIV. It has very simple langauge, but is still very close to translation. I enjoy reading the paraphrase "The Message", but sometimes they go a little too far.

Daily I read the NIV for the same reason stated - accurate but easier to read. I also read Living Bible and King James when doing bible studies. I've just recently downloaded Greek and Hebrew translations to my computer and it's really interesting even though I don't speak or read either language to see the Word in the original language.
