my job as a marketing

I'm working as an insurance agent. This means that I don't get any salaries, I only get my commissions. The great thing about being a marketing staff, although many people look down on it, is that you can have high income, even much much more than a director's salary (if you work hard, of course), and you get to know a lot of people. So what do you think about this marketing job? Please share your opinion. Do you avoid insurance agents? Do you hate those marketing people? Or are you also in the marketing field?
