I had came across a discussion from one of the user who was ask for a second chance for his husband as his husband's account had been terminates due to his jokes postings. I did responses to her discussion and knowing that her husband was postings those jokes by "Pasting other's jokes" in which am not sure whether that was against mylot guidelines by the time I make my responses. From that discussion I can see in facts many of users(Including me) were not very sure if posting a jokes was a right thing to do at mylot so I write to mylot to make ting clear and was just received their reply. I start this discussion as to share with any of you who might unaware of it yet.
"The copy & paste function is not to be used to paste someone else's jokes. Jokes are inappropriate for myLot & will most likely be deleted, but copy & pasted jokes are against our guidelines and grounds for cancellation of account."
Hopefully for those who used to posts jokes will take note of this as not to risk your account been terminate!!

I saw the discussion which you have told us about.
When I read through that post yesterday,
mylot had said the person was 'posting jokes as replies to all discussions' so I understood that to be the reason for his account to be deleated?
If Mylot are to ban all joke postings then maybe they could put this in their rules so its clear to everyone, as not everyone will see this post?

This was a informative discussion for I've seen a lot of discussion about jokes and I really posted in one of them as I can say that was not a good discussion to post my responds.
Some myLot members will be alerted by this discussion and hopefully will really learn something from this that the next time they will start a discussion they should not copy paste an idea but instead they should have time to think about it as well.
Nice topic my friend.

Hi maribel, nice to see you here and thanks for your kind words:)You were right that we all have to think of any unique ideas ourselves instead "steal" other's ideas. Its always good to posts or just make our responses to those meaningful topics as to make the discussions more interesting as well as to make ourselves in the safe side as not violates any guidelines.

Hi hijas, glad to know that you had respond to my discussion and was now aware of that jokes postings issues. I didn't posts or responses to any jokes myself but when I get to know someone account was get banned for this I think its very serious and when I read again those guidelines I don't see any clear instructions for "Jokes" but the guidelines do state very clear that "Copy & paste" was totally not allowed for this kind of postings so I send them a mail as to clarify the thing and thanks to their kindness to let me know the correct answers I think its good to share it here with anyone who might come across this discussion as prevent the mistake:)Thanks for your respond.
