After having finished the last of the Dark tower books and starting to read the Dark Tower Comics from Marvel I see more and more the possibility of this phenomenal work becoming a series of films or Cable TV mini-series. But should that happen? And if it does, what form should it take? Should it be new original stories set in Mid-World or just adaptations of the novels? Who should portray Roland? Jake? Susannah? Eddie? Should Oy be all CG or a muppet? Let me know what you think. Maybe we'll get enough discussion going that we may actually influence the process.

I'd love to see a movie or TV mini-series or something made from the books, just because the books are incredible and could so easily be made into another media.
I think Oy should be a muppet, but only if he's made by Jim Henson! A CGI Oy would be cheesy.
If you think about it, it wouldn't be so bad-they managed to do Lord of the Rings 1 film per book, so maybe if they cut some bits out they'd manage it in a few films.

I just don't think the books would translate well. So much of what made the books great were the internal struggles that would be pretty difficult to bring to any sort of media.
