I think belief in evolution is like belief in gravity or belief in the sun. It upsets me when people refuse to study what evolution actually is, they only assume they know what it means and stop there instead of studying it, and they insist that it cannot be true even when it has been proven on a small scale using rodents, guppies, and even fruit flies (see Wikipedia for links to some of these studies). Just because evolution is true doesn't mean there is no God, and some people think that to accept one is to deny the other but this is not a True/False kind of equation.

I'm afraid the dissent amongst scientists regarding the Theory of Evolution is far greater then that regarding belief in gravity or belief in the sun. It upsets me that you're upset that people are not embracing your apparent ignorance of the theory. Finally the online encyclopedia you refer to is extremely bias with respect to evolution. By the way does it about macroevolution or microevolution of the examples you mentioned?

Sneezy, that is a wonderful question and I have no more of an answer for that than I do for what the real and honest truth of after life is. We all have ideas of what we think, or believe, or hope is true; and for each of us this belief is enough to sustain us and become our personal truths. I cannot in good consciousness begin to say that one view (meaning my view) is the only correct view. I feel that would be very egocentric on my part. It is my deepest hope that All are of the same Divine and we All share the same Love that is given freely from that Source. What was, what is, and what will be are the mystical questions that are to be experienced in our own unique ways and with our own unique belief systems. Blessings ~Donna

Whether some people believe it or not. evolution is a fact. We have many pieces of evidence that we have evolved from smaller, less intelligent species. Every few years scientists find another link in the chain of ancestors. Yet stupid, ignorant people refuse to even look at the evide3nce demanding thousands of links, and a straight line with no missing pieces. Just because they haven't been found, doesn't mean they won't. Evolution happened. get educated.

That is your opinion and I except it. I am educated, so don't tell me to get educated! I just wanted everybody's opinion, and I got them. That is what this site is all about I thought.

I wouldn't worry about Judy. She's no doubt one of the many uneducated Darwinists who going around asserting that there is evidence but doesn't have a clue what the so called evidence is.

Evolution is not a "belief." It is the best answer science can give us about where we came from, how we got here and where we can go. The Why, I think, hasn't been explained. Why do atoms combine to form organic molecules? There is room for God in science, but not for old religions.

I don't beleive in it, I won't consider myself as a relative of an ape. If ever I was, should I call an ape as grandma/grandpa?.. I do believe in creation, that man was made from God's image. That He created us to be the steward of all that He created. To take care of all the animals, plants, and the whole nature itself..
