You need to be able to capture the video to your pc, therefore your pc needs an input for the video signal.Some graphics cards have the ability to link up RGB or SVHS cables which you may be able to use from the back of a cable box or satellite box. However, probably the simplist way to record TV would be to buy a TV capture card with a direct aerial socket in it. THe PCTV capture cards are relatively cheap but you will still need to have a television licence if those are applicable in your country.

i dont think window movie maker can do it.first of all you need to have tv tuner card in your PC and then a window which is compatable with live television recording.i think windows media edition or windows vista can solve your problem.both of them are really good operating system if you want to run media files on it and they support many add on features.
