here's a recipe for indian flat bread with now milk, it's really quick and easy to make. It's great with salad or to dip in soup.
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp oil
3/4 to 1 cup water
In a large bowl, stir together flour, salt and oil. Slowly add water to form a soft dough. Knead for 5 minutes.
Cover bowl with a tea towel and let stand 30-60 minutes.
Divide dough into 14 equal peices and shape into balls. With a rolling pin roll each ball into 6 inch circles and fry in a dry pan over medium heat cook until brown on both sides. Serve warm.
Have you ever tried oatmeal milk or almond milk? they are both pretty tasty and i think you can substitute them in most recipes that call for milk.
