Do All Living Things Have Karma?

Karma is any act that you perform; any action & reaction is karma..and humans or animals are all the time constantly performing karma at all the time. But the accountability and effects of karma are applicable only incase of human beings. Ya there is land karma in exceptional cases..but that too also in relation with specific group souls.

i have been trying to know about karma since long but i am not sure!!!! people says all living things have karma? if thats true than why they kill each others. like tiger kill to survive and we kill animal like goat,chicken to eat meat? why do we do that? May be God got the answer?

Hi there, Yes, other living beings have Karma too. There are 6 realms of existence - Heaven - Asuras - Human - Animal - Hell - Hungry Ghost. In Buddhism, we believe that wholesome actions will lead one to a good state ie. Nirvana, Arahant, Boddhisatva, God, Diety and Human. Gods, Dieties and Human can be 'demoted' because they have not end their sufferings. They have not realised the truth of sufferings. Of all, Human have the most opportunities to practice wholesome deeds. Gods and Dieties do have the opportunities. They will fail and be 'demoted' to Hell, Hungry Ghost and Animal realms if they fail to continue their practice of wholesome deeds. That's why I don't pray to Gods and Dieties. They are only 1 level above us and can be 'demoted' at anytime. There are many neutral sites out there talking about Karma. It's not me to do such research on subject like 'Karma' in a Buddhism site. Humans are the only living things who do things for the sole reason to hurt someone intentionally.Animals kill for food People dont.Leading my belief that only humans have karma
