have you got a way of reducing the number of snails and slugs in your garden? I have had success with beer. As i just fill a plastic container with beer. Then make a hole in the ground just deep enough so when container is placed into the hole, the top of container is even with the ground.
Slugs and snails love beer, so they go to the container and slide in only to drown in the beer. After a couple of days, when the dead slugs and snails build up, just wash container out and pour some more beer inside. It just might work for you. What are your methods of controlling slugs and snails in the garden?

Sprinkling salt to kill snails and slugs sounds like a simple way of doing it. I might give that a try one day.
thanks for your comment.

I used diatomaceous earth last year, the first time I'd ever tried it. You have to reapply it after watering or rain, but it really did the trick. After using it a few times, I quit altogether and only saw one slug the rest of the summer.
