When you go to a person's profile and click on the Discussions they've responded to, the ones you've responded to already are in a different colour than the ones you haven't. It's like in a mailbox, if you have read a mail it isn't highlighted and the ones yet to be read are highlighted. I noticed this only today and was wondering if it has been like this all along. Nowadays I visit profiles randomly and check out the discussions they've replied to so I can spot few good discussions myself. ;o)
Now this is visible only if the background on the profile page is of a light colour, too dark and you won't see the highlighted mails.
Did you know this existed before? If it was there before I guess I've been a sleepy head on myLot not to notice it till now..lol It's a good way to identify if you've been on a discussion before or not..sometimes we vaguely remember responding to a similar topic long ago. Now you will know for sure.
Check it out..and tell me if I'm seeing things or is it really there..LOL

I didn't notice this before either but that makes it much easier to know if you replied to that discussion or not without going in to check it out and see if it is rated . That is how I knew if I answered it or not as I rate all the one's I answer with a positive so that If were to go back into it , then I would know that I had already responded to that post .

I had not noticed it at all until you pointed it out. Now I am off to check this wonderful tip out for myself. I hate it when I think I have commented but there are alot of comments and I dont want to read them all to see if I have indeed commented. This will be a great help to me. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful info with me. :)

Lol yes it has been like that for a while as I noticed that a few Weeks ago. But I only noticed it because I was looking through discussions I had responded to lol so do not worry I would have probably not noticed otherwise lol.

No I have never noticed this, but it is a great feature. After a few months and responding to over 2500 discussions I forget which ones I have responded too. I will see if this is tru with your right now. No they are all the same color, so I went to other freinds and all of theirs is the same too.

my dear I had a look because it would be very useful but it seems it doesn't work for me...I cannot make any distinction between the various discussions...maybe it depends on some characteristics of your profile or pc...what a pity...I would have loved this idea!

yup I have noticed this for a while but as you say it really depends on the colours used , If a friend has answered me I usually go look at their profile just to check if I have missed any of their discussions that's when I noticed , I hope I am not missing anyone or hurting anyone's feelings xx

In the html code, you can have visited links appear a different color than the other links. Most websites do this and I think that's what's happening here. It's not a special little feature or anything. Hope that makes sense.

I'm not sure why you're seeing, but others aren't. Hmmm... Very interesting!

The background in your profile is white so maybe it's my computer.

I never noticed this 'till now...thanks for letting us know know about this, greengal..this could really help make the whole thing a lot easy rather than going through a discussion page by page to see if you've already responded to it or not...cool! thanks everyday is a learning day here in mylot.. :)

Thanks for another good tip, greengal! Mine wasn't working until I tweaked my preferences. I think I have a little more fiddling to do, but at least it now shows some sort of difference! Thanks!

I also have not noticed this feature. I'm about to go check it out. It is strange how after you surf a bit you find all kind of neat little quirks etc with any site at all. I love it.
