what is the rating system

Hello oz1568.... The rating system is for members to rate the quality of discussions and responses. + positive for good or better, - negative for those that are one word answers, not on topic or insulting. The ! report option is for those discussions or comments that are not in English, to report trolls, flame wars, troublemakers and abusers. There are 100's possibly 1000's of topics...times the number of members 73,000+....equals....How many per week ???? Mylot cannot possibly keep up with all the problems so they request our help weeding out the garbage. Check the do's and don'ts list to see for yourself. Those that do not rate - or report when necessary are NOT following mylots policies. Tom

The + is for a positive rating, which I give everyone who stays on topic even I disagree with their anser. The - is for a negative rating, I have used this very few times. only when I receive one word or the answer has nothing to do with the discussion. The ! is to report anyone that is copying pasting from another persons answer, they are going against all guideline rules, or they are being abusive. It is very important to rate all answers, this helps your fellow My Lotters in gaining that high number on their star, which you also will receive after 100 post. It is also important to give a best response, which I always do after at least 10 people have had the opportunity to answer.
