Just get plenty of fludis and wait it out. If it takes more than a few days to go away go see the doctor.

I'm guessing I'm a little late to respond to this one but here is a great site for home remedies. I already searched food poisoning for you.

Drinking Apple Cider Vinegar with water is supposed to be very good for food poisoning, it is worth a try....it is so good for many many things but for food poisoning it is supposed to be very good...good luck.

Yes, lilaclady, I've taken apple cider vinegar for a lot of gastric maladies. My mom first told me about it. At first I was sceptical but was extremely suprised when it did work.
I've also used it for menstrual cramping.

I'm sure it was pretty bad for your son, Bicklelady, being hospitalized for food poisoning. I once was food poisoned at my job at of all places a hospital.
It was so painful that I couldn't urinate without pain and the doctor gave me a pain shot and I almost fell asleep while driving home.
But my friend is okay now. Thank God!
