this morning when i woke up, i was surprised to see my dog sleeping with a kitten, i walked passed them trying not to wake them up.. when i got back,my dog woke up, she looked so adorable stretching her paws... the kitten was still there sleeping (at least i thought the kitten was sleeping). after my dog stretched, she walked away to drink water.. then i came to check on the kitten, she was one of the kittens of our cat.. but to my surprise the kitten's flesh was torn open, i think her neck was broken and her head was all swollen.. just when i was about to pick the kitten up to examine it more, my dog came running and growled at me, she picked the kitten up and started eating the flesh.. ewwwwww... it was so disgusting that i felt nauseous... my dog has never ever eaten a kitten before, she has not even attacked a cat.. my dog and my cat were friends, i don't understand what happend to our dog, i was so scared that i immediately called my dad, he tied up our dog and i buried to poor kitten... does anyone have the same experience? i mean, does anyone have any idea what happend to my dog? i don't get it.. she was such an adorable dog, she never ever growled at me before.. she suddenly became wild.. i wonder why..

OMG that is awful, how strange your dog has suddenly turned this way, I am not really a dog person, is this normal for a dog or is it something that is not the norm....I hope he doesn't get more of them...:(

that's why we tied her up so that she can't get more of them, i researched on the internet regarding this matter and i found nothing, which means this is not a normal case...

if you've had a cat living with you for years and the dog has never shown any problem before,...then yeah that is unusual and something to worry about. the biggest part to worry about is her growling at you when you picked up the kitten. she should never be showing any aggression towards you. i havent a clue what might be the cause of this...is she an older dog maybe? but in my family where we have breed dogs for show and companionship...that dog would be put down immediatly. im sure i will get some flack about saying that, but its true - a sudden and SEVERE change in personality like that is NOT GOOD.

yes, she is old.. our dog is 8 years old.. my dad told me, maybe she is experiencing sort of alzheimers disease, just a theory though.. becuase she acts as if she doesn't know us.. she keeps barking and barking... we are going to the vet today to let them examine her...
