Has Mylot made you lazy?

I noticed that ever since I joined this site i've become more lazy than I ever have been. I haven't been watching my favorate TV shows because I spend too much time on here. I don't know if that's a bad thing considering I've been very happy with this site and I think it is worth my time but I hate being lazy. I also noticed I'm getting more lazy with my typing. How about you?

Yes being on mylot has taken me away from a lot of things I should be doing, especially my house work. I always tell my self just 10 more minutes and then a couple of hours have gone by. I think it is time to make my self a time limit and stick to it. I have to start taking care of things around my house again.

I feel the exact same way. It's hard to limit yourself. I'm sure we'll both get better at it with time lol. I'm sure this site will get old sooner or later.

So far I have been lucky and haven't been attacked by the "lazy" bug. I have made it a habit to only spend an hour to two hours answering things on here or just being online in general, than to give my mind a break I go watch some TV or go clean something.
Haven't noticed to much on my typing, since I still pretty much type the same way everyday. The only thing I have really noticed is my typing has gotten faster, so haven't really since anything negative coming of spending time here at Mylot.

I sure wish I could limit myself. I've tryed but I get so into some of the discussions on here that I lose track of time and end up spending hours on end reading and writing.

Hi Giggles88,
More lazy? No, I don't believe so.
In fact, I've found it rather invigorating. Granted, I don't have the time to chime in on every conversation. One could say that I'm a tad picky, regarding which discussions I choose. But, I've been involved in some REALLY interesting dialogue. As such, when I step away from the computer to engage my 'here and now life', I carry those topics with me, formulating more thought and idea.
I've been involved with computers since 1983, and the internet (as Prodigy) since 1990. And, it is a big part of my professional life as well. So, I've learned to treat the great dialogue (that I've experienced at Mylot), as a treat, a break from the everyday, if you will.
As Ben Franklin said "All good things in moderation".

No. I think that being lazy is watching TV (the boob tube) because on myLot at least my brain is getting some exercise.

That is so true. I do use my brain a lot on here. I think it's helped me learn a lot but I think I should probablly be focusing on the more inpotant things I need to do.

I don't feel lazy as much as addicted to this place. I try to answer alot of posts and throw some of my own questions out there too. I put off doing some things around the apartment because I find it so hard to get off this site. LOL
