I was so sick last night I ended up in the hospital. But before I went I thought I just had the flu my kids noticed that I didn't feel well. As the pain got worse my kids stood by me. My 14 year old sat there rubbing my back without me asking. My little guy a six kept asking me what he could do to make me better and brought me water to rinse my mouth out. My daughter held my hair out of the way while I got sick. I was just amazed how they pulled together. I just wanted to cry from all the kindness that they were showing without being asked. I got lots of kisses this afternoon when I returned from the hospital. I don't get sick often. Sometimes I get so use to all of them doing there own things I don't realize that they truly know the meaning of family sticking together but they do. For that I am very greatful and just had to share it. Thanks for listening. We always hear about the bad stuff I wanted to share the good.

Awww.... what a bunch of sweethearts :) You've raised them well.. you should be proud. My son was only 2 when I was pregnant with his sister and he used to be the same way. Morning sickness hit me hard with that pregnancy and I spent alot of time kneeling over the toilet. My son would hold my hair back for me and lean with his cheek on the top of my head. I'll never forget that.

How sweet! I have a four year old daughter who is the sweetest too. I was very stressed out and in my room crying-away from my kids-and my daughter opened the door and saw me all a mess. She asked what was wrong and I just said "mommy's just sad today." She crawled up on my lap and kissed my cheek and caressed my hair and even started crying too. She had said "I wish you wouldn't be sad anymore Mama." Seeing how real my daughter was and how she cared enough to sit with me actually did make me feel tons better. She is my little angel.

It's amazing how what they do and say can make us feel better even if it is just a little. Your daughter sounds very sweet. Keep up the good work.

I am sure your parents know it. We all do. It's just once in awhile something pops out. I am sure that your parents have felt this way many of times. You sound like a child that will always be there for them and that is all that counts. Cherish the moments as they do you,

I had a fight with my husband(because of his other woman) so when my two year old daughter asked me to carry her, i was not in the mood... i scold her instead. i cried remembering the fight with my husband feeling so bad and alone... then my two year old baby... came near to me and kiss me ang hug me and wipe my tears, offered me with her chocolate. I laugh and cry at the same time... cant help but give her a big hug. I felt that I was never alone...

As long as you have her you will have everything. Kick that man to the curb he is not worth your time.

How sweet of your children, sounds like you raised some great kids! My son is only 15 months, but I love when he wakes me in the morning with kisses (we co-sleep) or just comes up to me to give me a hug, there is definitely a lot of rewards to being a parent and I am sure I have many more to discover!

Kids can be that way. Several months ago I had an absessed tooth that had caused my jaw to swell where I was unable to open it at all. I couldn't eat, and had a fever. I had taken so much medicine I made myself sick (accidental, of course). My daughter (9 yo) stayed home so she could take care of me (rather than go with her friends). Since I couldn't eat, she made jello and brought me drinks anytime I wanted them. It was so sweet, adn completely unshelfish.

ahhh, your kids are so sweet. i especially noted your 14 year old. because most teenagers are not as sweet as the younger ones. by the way, is your 14 year old a daughter or a son. my son used to be so sweet when he was younger but as he grows older he seemed to also outgrow his sweetness. but my 7 and 12 year old sons are still caring and sweet. i used to have stomachache a lot of times before. whenever that happens my two younger sons would take care of me. like giving me water without me asking, massage my stomach to make me feel better, or just being there beside me asking me hoow i'm feeling or what i need. my 12 year old would also do my chores for me. it feels good knowing that they really care.

It feels like rewarding when you see your children caring for you and your husband. I also have a four year old daugther, one time i just arrive from work and i'm not feeling well, i was suffering migraine, my daugther ask me what happen to me, i said i have a headache, she touch my head and told me that she will massage my head and she did. Though my head terrible everything seems like relaxing having my own daugther caring for me. That i say that she loves me.

I think it is awesome that they come through like that. Having your kids by your side is wonderful. I gave them all so many hugs and kisses when I got home to thank them.

That remindes me of a few months ago. I was suffering with bad morning sickness and heaving really bad. I had allready emptied my stomach but was crying from all the heaving, i couldent stop. I had yelled at my husband to keep our two year old out of the bathroom and the area while i was sick, I didnt want my son seeing me that bad. Well my husband stepped outside, probably on a phone call, and my little guy walked in, he put his head on my back and kept saying so sorry mama, dont cry mama. And i started feeling better. If im ever upset or sick he acts like the sweetest thing in the world. If i have a headache he likes to get my ice pack out of the freezer ( with dads help) so that i can " feel better" Kids are the most amazing thing.

They can really tug at the heart strings. As bad as I felt a part of me just wanted to get better for their sake because they were so worried.
