Have you ever been in a fight?

I mean a real fight, punches thrown and what have you. If so why?

When I was 10 a beat up a neighbor boy because he hit my brother...they were all bigger than me and I was the only one who got in trouble...I always wondered if I had been a boy defending his siter if I would have still got in trouble?
