The more you put in the more you get out. Do you think mylot realy wants to pay for a bunch of people to type thanks. No this site is here for people to ask and answer questions. They want their members to stay here. I would not stay if I saw the same stuff over and over.

Well being a computer programmer I can explain that a bit.
it is realy not that hard to have a computer scan through thousands of pages every hour to check for related answers. Also you sign in with a username and password their system knows what you are writing every time so it would know when you are just coping and pasting. Not to mention each computer has a IP address which is like a fingerprint, Makeing it very easy for their system to recognise users. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to explain this

Answering questions is what seems to net the most...I try to make viable topics for discussion when i actually make a topic and therefore it does not get many replies because everyone is jumping on the easy one-liner repetitive answers...because...answering makes more money

I really dont have a clue, I had been giving short to the point answers, then one day I gave long answers pertaining to the discussion for almost everything I replied to, I did one day of short replies and one day of long replies, I replied to the same amount of discussions on both days and only made 2 cents more for the day I made the long replies, so the only thing the long replies accomplished for me was spending longer on mylot to make the same amount of replies, so I have no idea how mylot works :(

They both do..they are of equal value..so long as you make a real statement and not just "no" "yes" or one word comments. and a plus for you;) take care

I prefer to respond rather than starting discussion and i am earning on an average of 75 cents per day for posting 25-35 responses.Nobody knows which will yield more.

lol, who knows, anyone that says they know I think is more of there perception then actually knowing. I have done 30 or 40 answers in a day, but responded to my topics the rest of the day and got $5.89, then did the exact same thing the following day and made $3.84 or something like that. Try to do the opposite, make same, don't work it, and just respond to my topics make a little less then the next day a little more..........:) I just go with the flow now, the money will take care of it self, but the mystery of it keeps everyone curious, and coming back

The proper answer the longer answer be serious people do you all think mylot staff checks the post like that. It is a automated system and i have study it like i study a college course and learned how to get the most out of it. There machine does this it adds up the post length and it only has to exceed a certian amount. If you type things like thank you after people respond to your topic you get nothing for that. Actually you get nothing for replying to any post in your topic all you get out of it is your topic back at the top of the list for more people to see it and get more post. There alot of othr things i have figured out as well and tested them and i was correct.

I generally only answer. It seems like most of my questions get no responses. So it is easier just to answer.

Mine weren't getting answered at first, but amazingly now most of them do get answered. I'm not sure why. Maybe I've just learned to ask more interesting questions or maybe it's the time of day I ask them. I'm really not sure what it is I'm doing differently.

I think it might have to do with timing, but I quess if it is more interesting or general it would generate more response.

i don't know,i am curiouse also...i just know that you don't get money for answering to people that responded to your own discussions..but in rest..i don't know what counts more...i didn't make much money anyway..and i answered to lots of discussions...but i am doing my best..goodluck

I'm not sure about that. I thought that answering posts to your own discussions did not pay, either, but I'm finding that it possibly does. Yesterday I did nothing but answer responses to discussions I've started and I earned a little over $1. I'm doing the same thing tonight to see what happens. It may just be that it keeps my topics at the top of the list where they continue to get responses and that's where they money is coming from. Either way, I win, though.

I mostly earn good by responding to a lot of discussions with what i have in my mind, and joining every discussions with the other Mylot members, it can help a lot.

If you ranswer is long enough and relevant to the topic, that usually gets you the heavy pennies. Just by answering 10 posts and making them sensiable i managed to get .55 for that day. I thought that was pretty good.

I'm glad you decided to ask this question...& that someone decided to answer. LOL I've been wondering this myself & I was just hoping that I'd find the answer somewhere on here. I did! :)
