Some DV cams allow you to direct burn to DVD format. Normally, when i used CD or DVD burner, i always used lowest speed burner. Of course it would take long time to finish it. But, the quality is good if compare when you selected high speed burner. Try it, you sholud see the difference.

New nero versions come with an application called "Nero Vision Express", with that application it is very easy to make quality DVD with menus and all, and you can use whether the format you like. I am a professional and I use Adobe Premiere 2.0 for editing, but I preffer this application for DVD althought it is unprofessional, since it is faster and easier than Adbe DVD Encoder or other professional ways. A good alternative is Ulead DVD Workshop.

Yes...this is same happen to me..I don't know why after burning the video into a CD, it degrade the picture quality...even some time, to make it worst, my VCD seems to be stucked and it jumps from 1 scene to another...I thought it could be because of the format selection that I used from the source file...I haven't try it yet using a different file format of the source file..
