I have a lot of grandparents. I had real blood grandparents, step grandparents, almost step grandparenets, great grandparents. I have lost a bunch, and I miss them dearly, I don't speak to my mother's dad or his 2nd wife. I have lots of grandparents still living. I am thankful to have had so many wonderful people in my life. I miss the ones who are gone. I just lost my moms grandma(my greatgrandma) last August. It was sad and I never evn went to her funeral. Anyone really sad over losing a grandparent?

It's good you have many grandparents. Love them and take good care of them. I had not a chance to see my grandparents, both sides, and how I wish also to have had been with them. I am now old and I am now a grandparent to the twin daughters of my son.

I have my paternal grandparents, my maternal grandparents and step dads parents. Unfortuantely my step dad's parents even tho they were the youngest they both passed already. i did consider them family because they have been around for 11 years. but i know how u feel, it's great having them around, and so sad when u lose them! it's just better to have the memories.

I lost my mother's father at a very young age (3) and hardly remember him. My mother's mother, I loved dearly. She kept me whenever school was out for snow and any other times that I needed to be left somewehre. I loved her so much. She passed when I was pregnant with my first child and never got to see him. My father's parents both passed when I was in my early 20's. I was close to them as well. My grandmother on that side ended up with Alzheimers and didn't know anyone late in her life. I miss all of them so much and so wish that my children could have known them.

I have lost three of my grandparents. I miss them all so very much, and think of them often. There are not many people around that have known you your entire life. They know you better than most, and you share the longest possible history with them. In a society where things changes faster and faster i believe long lasting relationships get to be more and more important. Grandparents are most often one of the constant things in life. I feel so lucky to have had all my grandparents until i was an adult. Now I only have one left - it is one of my most treasured relationships

I lost the grandma I was closest to back in 1999, and I still feel that pain now. I think she and I were just 1 soul in 2 bodies. We shared it all.
