My pets are allowed on most of the furniture in our house. They get in trouble for getting on the counters, table, and on top of the freezer. I've even had to pull my cat off the top of the refrigerator!
They pretty much think they own the place, though. Both of my dogs and my cat like to lay on the back of the couch and look out the window. If a strange car goes by, one dog barks hello, one dog growls, and the cat meows. They are crazy.
They all sleep anywhere they want. The cat used to throw movies out of one of the shelves in the entertainment center so she could sleep there. It's only tall enough for a DVD with less than an inch to spare but she loves it in there. We gave up and took the movies all out so now it's Trinitie's own special spot. She lays in the back of it and hides.

My dog does not jump on furnitures unless I am sitting on sofa watching TV. at this time he would jump on sofa and climb on my legs sitting and sleeping there. It seems he knows what time i am busy and what time I am free.

My dogs are always under my feet. They lay where ever I am. One just laid on my foot now.

I dont have a dog but my cat is allowed to sleep on the sofa and on my bed. She even likes to sleep on the treadmill! However we dont let her jump on the dining table or on any of the counters in the kitchen.

YES, my dog jumps up on the couch with me and sleeps and plays, he also sleeps in the bed with me, he is very spoiled rotten, but I say if you don't spoil them, what is the use in having them. I would rather see alot of people spoiling thier animals than to see those same people abusing thier animals.

My dog and cats sleep with us at nite in our beds but during the day they sleep whereever they chose which is the couch, beds, chair, floor, cubby holes. My one cat chose a round basketball throw pillow as his primary bed when he's not sleeping with us. That's his pillow and we don't use it anymore.

Before i got new furniture my doberman got on the furniture as he pleased, He would even try to sleep in the bed with hubby and i. Now that we got new furniture our dog hasnt even bothered with getting on anything but the bed. Its been like this for about a year now. Two weeks ago i put a dog bed in our room and now he doesnt try to get on the bed.

My dog is very spoiled, and we let her on the furniture. In fact, she's getting older, and we have a footstool near the couch so she can jump up. She's sleeping right now on the couch right next to me. :)

I was thinkin of investing in doggy steps. My dog is turning 7 this year and is slowing down. I would hate for her to hurt herself doing something she really enjoys.

Dogs cannot be kept away from the furniture unless they are kept in a kennel. The one we have right now loves to sleep on the mattress, so we give her one for her own use. However, she had become very close to us, she jumps to the sofa whenever someone is occupying it. She loves to be around us always, that's why.

My dogs and cats sleep wherever, whenever they feel like. They have their own beds and they use them. My cats sleep in the bed and at night one of our dogs sleeps in the bed, but my Siberians tend to sleep on the tile floor because it is cooler. I know many people that are much dirtier than my animals ;D

i bet, my animals smell funky no matter how many baths we give them, so i use lots of fresheners. its not a bad smell, just different.

i would like to but not everyone in my house agrees with that choice, heh, i do let them in every now and then (i have two dogs) but then i usually put them in the garage or back outside. we have an insulated garage so i don't have a problem with them sleeping in it.

Not my bed, but the couch I cannot keep dogs off, it is below the living room window and they like to look out the window all the time. That is why you HAVE to have leather sofas when you have dogs! If it wasn't leather it would be so tore up!

My couch is by a window as well. They love sitting in the sunshine.
