Why do you keep a blog?

I keep my blog even if I hardly write in there for the sake of boredom and randomness. I even bought a domain and webhosting just for it, and it's sitting there idly and becoming more and more like a white elephant for me.
Do you keep a blog? What is it for?

I adore writing, I joined a public diary place so that i could have a b=place to write, i love getting responses back and hearing what other people think. Ive made friends in the past 5 years ive been there, people who i chat with on the phone and who have sent me things and whom i have sent things. People i would have never been able to meet had i not joined.
Its a great way to make friends and express yourself. Its a positive feed back experence. :)

I keep a blog to describe my life as if it were my on-line diary. My blog is in Spaish because it is my second language and I like practicing it. I have had the blog since 2005 and I have ten pages on it so far.
