Hi, I have been using avira antivir personal classic edition, which is a free-version antivirus. Since using it, I have never encountered any problems at all with regards to the system performance of my machine. It updates regularly and can be scheduled at your most convenient time. It is very light on resources and does not use a lot of memory. Hence, does not slow down your computer. It detects and deletes rootkits, worms, and viruses. This can be downloaded at www.free-av.com. For antispyware, I can suggest you to use superantispyware. It is very effective when it comes on detecting spywares and adwares. hello empressofdrac, there are many antivirus which you can use but i would like to suggest you or other way recommend you that you should use Norton Antivirus with Windows bit defender to protect your system from any kind of harm. And more thing that you should always remember is that do regularly update your antivirus software weekly to protect it from the current viruses, as in world we don't know when a virus can be detected it can be created at anytime and be left on internet to affect the systems. I generally uses norton and update it regularly thats it to protect my system.

Kaspersky Antivirus. Try that, and check its reviews. It is a great anti virus though its not free but they have a trial version.

I'm using AVG and I absolutely adore it. Norton used to interfere with some of my programs and give me problems, but this never happened with AVG:) I strongly suggest that you all give it a try:D

i bought a thing from walmart called defender pro 15-1. it does everything once you install it, it automatically runs checks on your computer for viruses, it defrags and a bunch of other stuff i don't about. it blocks new viruses from getting on your computer and hackers too. it made my computer run faster. it was like $40. they have a cheaper one for $20 its called the same thing but it doesn't do everything the 15-1 does.

i used nod 32. so i like this because its compatibility. easily upgradable,full security, and compatible with any operating system. so i like this i think it is the best antivirus in the world
